The School of Arts and Humanities of The University of Texas at Dallas invites applications for the Stephen G. Rabe professorship in U.S. Foreign Relations at the Associate or Full Professor level. The appointment will begin August 1, 2019. The successful candidate will have a record of highly regarded publications and show promise of continued distinction in the field. The applicants will, at a minimum, satisfy the requirements for appointment as a tenured associate professor at UT Dallas.

The academic philosophy of the School emphasizes the fusion of critical with creative thinking as well as linkages among various modes of knowledge and artistic expression. The School offers interdisciplinary graduate programs (MA, PhD) built on three interrelated areas: Literature, Historical Studies and Visual and Performing Arts. The School of Arts and Humanities provides an interdisciplinary curriculum at the undergraduate and graduate levels, drawing on visual and performing arts, literary studies, philosophy, and history. UT Dallas is a dynamic, growing, Carnegie R1 doctoral institution with a diverse student body (ca 29,000) and a strong research faculty.
