Katherine A.S. Sibley

Katherine A. S. Sibley is professor and chair of the history department at St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia, and North American book review editor for Intelligence and National Security. She completed her Ph.D. at the University of California, Santa Barbara, with SHAFR pioneer Alexander DeConde. Her newest work, Red Spies in America: The Soviet Quest for Technology Secrets, 1930-1950 was published by the University Press of Kansas in 2004. She is also the author of the prize-winning Loans and Legitimacy: The Evolution of Soviet-American Relations, 1919-1933 (1996) and The Cold War (1998). Her work has appeared in journals including American Communist History, Peace and Change, and Diplomatic History. Winner of SHAFR's W.
