SHAFR News SHAFR SEEKS TO MAKE APPOINTMENTS FOR TWO NEW POSITIONS (APRIL 17, 2008) SHAFR is conducting searches for qualified applicants for two new, part-time positions in the Society: Web-master and Director of Secondary Education. The calls for applications are posted on SHAFR's job listings page. PROGRAM SET FOR SHAFR ANNUAL MEETING ON JUNE 26-28, 2008 (MARCH 12, 2008) The Program Committee for the 2008 SHAFR annual conference has completed a program of events that promises to provide a stimulating intellectual experience. The conference will feature several noteworthy events: In addition, attendees will gain further intellectual stimulation from 49 panels that will address the history of American foreign relations in every decade since independence, on every continent, and through new and traditional methodological approaches. SHAFR will also sponsor a social event on Saturday evening: a group trip to the ballpark to watch the Columbus Clippers (AAA affiliate of the Washington Nationals) play the Indianapolis Indians (AAA affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates).
