Potomac River Dinner Cruise
When: Saturday, June 27
7:45pm – 11:00pm
Conference sessions end at 5:30 on Saturday, giving you two hours until you need to board the boat.
Dinner:
The cruise ticket includes access to an open bar, as well as a light buffet dinner and dessert.
The Bar:
beer, wine, soda, sparkling water
The Menu:
fresh fruit display
a duo of miniature sandwiches
orecchiette pasta salad
saffron chicken skewers with sweet tomato jam
chesapeake crab and shrimp torte
warm spinach & artichoke dip
assorted bar cookies
Cruise:
The Cherry Blossom is a re-creation of a 19th Victorian riverboat (an authentic split sternwheeler), complete with ornate iron railings and a plush interior of brass and mahogany. Her two interior salons are heated and air-conditioned for year-round comfort. The open-air third deck offers a spectacular view of Old Town Alexandria and the Washington, D.C. skyline.
Getting There:
- When registering, if you want transportation you will need to purchase a round-trip ticket for the chartered bus we will hire.
- A bus schedule, with departure times from Fairview Marriott and arrival at the pier in Old Town Alexandria, will be available at the conference as a handout.
- Those wishing to drive their own cars from the hotel are welcome to do so. Please see the map below for parking locations; more detailed information about parking options will be available as a handout at the conference.
